Video Introduction

Teaching Sample

As a child, I was fascinated by the science discussions that my family’s elders used to hold with one another because everyone in my family had a solid science background. At that point, I realized I was going to pursue Science as a major. Years passed, and one of my friends who was struggling in chemistry sought me to tutor him. I tutored him, and his grades improved significantly, bringing me tremendous joy. That’s when I realized I wanted to pursue tutoring professionally. Over the last three years, I’ve tutored over 150 students ranging in age from sixth grade to postgraduate level. Teaching has assisted me in deepening and refining my understanding of the subject, as well as in living my truth with the highest level of integrity.

Tutoring style

I was a student myself not long ago, so I know what I anticipated from my teachers at the time. Keeping this in mind, my greatest strength as a tutor is describing topics in a way that allows students to understand what is happening at the atomic level without having to memorize anything. I prefer conceptual learning to the old-fashioned method of a student cramming information the day before an exam. I enjoy the harmony that I am able to build between the student and the tutor. Rather than a one-way lecture, our meetings will be collaborative and dialogue-driven. My major focus is always how I can best assist my students and make them fall in love with the wonders of chemistry. I’m excited to get started!
