Hi there, my name is Mahrosh and am excited to be your tutor! I have a Bachelors from University of California, Berkeley in Political Science (specializing in International Relations) and South & East Asian Studies. When I am not teaching, I love reading, watching TV, and meditating.

Tutoring style

I believe in organized lesson plans with a basic structure, whilst still retaining a flexibility based on student’s learning goals as the session progresses. I always try to keep a student’s personal pacing in mind while teaching. Every student is different, which is why I never show up to sessions with a rigid preparation of a lesson plan. I am always prepared for a basic structure and ready to learn with the student. Usually, I have two different lessons plans scheduled for a student. One in the event, the student exceeds the learning goal for the day and the other in case a particular skill is difficult to understand. The latter plan usually involves at least 2 different ways I could approach and explain the skill better.
