Bio

I am currently pursuing a Bachelor’s in History and a minor in Education from Stanford University, located in Palo Alto, California. For the past 7 years, I have worked as an independent, contracted, and volunteer tutor for a variety of students from different backgrounds for different subjects. My experience has given me the knowledge to adapt quickly to different needs for different students. As someone who also received tutoring in middle and high school, I have been on both sides of the tutoring relationship and have come up with different strategies to connect with students.

Tutoring style

My approach to tutoring is student-centered. Rather than establish myself as an authority figure or an encyclopedia of answer, I act as a guide to students, walking alongside them as they tackle difficult problems. I emphasize teaching concepts and note-taking to set the student up for success not only in the subject I tutor but in any future subjects they may pursue.
