Bio
I believe math and science are found everywhere in the world. A strong foundation in math provides countless opportunities beyond school and in everyday life. I am passionate about showing others how to understand math and apply it to science and the real world. Personally, as an engineering major, math is a big part of my life and a subject that has interested me for as long as I can remember. Tutoring since my freshman year of high school allowed me time to develop my skills and expand my teaching abilities. I am a motivated student with a strong STEM background, extensive knowledge and experience with AP tests and standardized testing, and an AP Scholar with Distinction. Helping students succeed in class while gaining the long-term benefits of math and science in the real world is why I continue tutoring!

“Tutoring allows me to help students with subjects I enjoy learning. It feels so rewarding to teach students material I use in my life and show them the importance of learning. My instruction focuses on building from the basics and using prior knowledge to break down new concepts. I have found better information retention through interactive teaching, where the student explains what they have learned.
Each student requires an individualized teaching approach which is why I shape every session to move at the student’s pace valuing a solid understanding of material over content completion. Understanding material is aided by connecting concepts to real-life applications, which I do through word problems or pictures, allowing students to connect with what they are learning.
I enjoy seeing students succeed and spend time building relationships during tutoring sessions, so students feel confident asking questions and expressing their strengths and weaknesses to maximize the benefits of our time together!”
